Come celebrate Memorial Day weekend in South Deerfield !
Run around the Mountain that is Sugarloaf Mountain Athletic Club’s namesake and take the opportunity to thank your local veterans (who will be posted throughout the course at aid stations and intersections to cheer you on). Proceeds will go to VFW Post 3295 and Sugarloaf Mountain Athletic Club.
The 10K is a challenging loop course with mountain and river views (and is the 4th race in the SMAC Series). The 5K is a “mostly flat” out-and back course. Both races begin in the center of South Deerfield, at the intersection of North Main Street and Sugarloaf Street. The 10K starts on North Main, climbs up Hillside Road, drops to River Road and makes a clockwise loop around the base of the Mountain. The 5K is an out-and-back that starts in the same direction as the 10K.
