We are inaugurating a very special race in New Salem! Welcome to the First Annual Village Ultra 10-Hour! Get ready to run (some more!) on November 19! All fun, no pressure; the SMAC Series will be over! This year’s race will raise awareness about PANS/PANDAS and raise funds to help the Van Iderstine/Derderian family secure treatment for their son with PANS. The race will start and end at the New Salem common. … Like trail running? We will have experienced Rabbit Run marshalls to take you on a beautiful 10k loop through the Quabbin watershed! Prefer pavement? Race up quarter mile loops around the lovely New Salem common! Love both? Mix and match! All miles count! The Village Ultra 10-Hour is a terrific opportunity to do good while reaching your personal running/walking goals. Rack up miles for the 100 Mile Club! Run or Walk your first Half Marathon, Marathon, or Ultra! We will be there an encourage you every step of the way! Cost is $50 for 10-hour, $30 for 6-hour, and $10 per hour for drop-in (run/walk as much as you like). 10-hour starts at 7:00 a.m.; 6-hour starts at 11:00 a.m. If you are doing drop-in, pay $10 to start and add money on the honor system when you finish.
