Starts and finishes in the middle of town while featuring a figure-eight course layout so that spectators get to see how the race unfolds after the first loop. This race has been the New England 10k championship race on several occasions and has all the professional-isms and amenities you want including a huge post race party overlooking the waterfalls. Don't let the sweetness of the name of the race fool you, as Dave Reading is inclined to say that: "The Bridge of Flowers 10k is the toughest race you'll ever love!" Hint: train for the 4th and 6th downhill miles! Kids 19 and under pay a dollar per year of there age and the folks 70 and over, as always, are free. Register before this Saturday at www.shelburnefalls.com for the early bird entry fees.
