SMAC’S YOUTH TRACK PROGRAM MISSION: To foster the development of youth through participation in track and field training to develop athletic strength, sportsmanship, and a passion for lifelong fitness. Join SMAC Youth Track this 2022-23 winter season at Smith College ITT building. For kids in grades K–8, the Winter Youth Track Program provides an introduction to a variety of track and field events, and is a great way to develop strength & speed, athleticism, practice skills, and techniques of track and field events. …
All Comers Meet - CANCELLED After serious consideration we will be postponing the All Comers Track Meet scheduled for February 19th at Smith College due to conflicting track events around the state causing a shortage of timers and officials. We are exploring possible options to reschedule the meet for later this year and will keep our members posted.
Join us for the Annual Ron Hebert Road Race, the oldest continually held road race in Western Massachusetts. This will be a celebration of the Valley's running heritage. Check out the course here! Join us for food and conversation after the race! As is traditional with the Ron Hebert Race, all finishers will receive a pair of highly-coveted SMAC socks!
The New England Green River Marathon is one of the most beautiful races in New England. Starting in Marlboro, Vermont and following the course of the Green River through an 1870’s covered bridge, and ending with a finish-line celebration in the shade of maple trees at Greenfield Community College in Massachusetts. This USATF-certified (Certification MA18003JK) course has a net 1,400 foot drop over a rolling, downhill course that has seen many personal best and Boston qualifying times for well-trained runners.
The Summit Run 5K has been one of the most challenging, most beautiful and most fun 5Ks in the Pioneer Valley! Join us for a 5K like no other. The first mile is a slight incline that will take you through the Hockanum Village and its historic homes with bucolic scenery. After that the course turns onto the dirt section of Old Mountain Road before things get even more scenic, and steeper as you climb 800 feet on the paved road to the summit…
